Access Control

Access control is a fundamental concept in security that determines who is authorized to access specific areas of the plant, rooms, control panels and or log in/out times to a facility specific area.

• Mandatory Access Control (MAC): Common in government and military contexts, MAC grants access based on clearances regulated by a central authority.

• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Access rights are assigned based on defined business functions, ensuring users have only the necessary data for their roles.

• Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC): ABAC grants access flexibly based on attributes and environmental conditions, such as time and location.
