OPERATIONAL
TECHNOLOGY
Welcome to IFT’s Operational Technology (OT) hub. Here, we dive into the vital systems and technologies that power industrial operations across various sectors. Operational technology encompasses the hardware and software that monitor and control physical devices and processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability in manufacturing, energy, transportation, municipal and more. IFT’s goal is to provide insights into how OT integrates with your facility, to enhance productivity, safety, and innovation. Explore our resources to understand the significance of OT in today’s digital landscape and discover how it can transform your business operations for a smarter, more connected future!

Access Control
Access control is a fundamental concept in security that determines who is authorized to access specific areas of the plant, rooms, control panels and or log in/out times to a facility specific area.

IFT and their group of allies use the following main areas to control a facility that requires recorded knowledge of a plants specified areas. We help to install, setup and work directly with IT and teams to make certain that your guidelines and areas of confidentiality are covered.

-
Discretionary Access Control (DAC): In DAC models, owners grant access to users at their discretion. It provides case-by-case control over resources for visitors, locations, or non-team members

-
Mandatory Access Control (MAC): Common in government and military contexts, MAC grants access based on clearances regulated by a central authority.

-
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Access rights are assigned based on defined business functions, ensuring users have only the necessary data for their roles.

-
Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC): ABAC grants access flexibly based on attributes and environmental conditions, such as time and location.

Energy Monitoring and Reliable Maintenance Technology
Energy devices solely built to monitor your plants experience that are Portable and/or Permanent data energy centers that determine what device(s) in your facility is driving energy costs.

These systems are setup and installed by our educated team members, who are aware that operational cost is essential to being successful in your facility budget

We use IFT Technology to monitor and deliver a downloadable list of devices that effectively are using the most energy.
This technology effectively communicates when devices such as motors, conveyors, pumps, grinders, or other high wattage devices start to wander, overload, or underperform, giving indications of failure, issues, or unexpected occurrences, obviously providing cost saving opportunities.
